Y3 Remote Learning English
Date: 7th Jan 2021 @ 7:46pm
English WB 11th January 2021
In English, we have planned a Harry Potter themed week. Lots of children in Year 3 are desperate to learn about Harry Potter. Don’t worry if you haven’t read the book, everything you need to complete the activities is in resources for each day. By the end of the week, you might like to start reading Harry Potter or even read it again. You will notice that each day has some fun time extras, these are optional but if you are a Harry Potter fan you might like to try them. Please note a few children might have completed the first 2 lessons if they were self-isolating back in October. If they have, you may wish to recap the activities and just complete the fun time extras.
Please open each day for further details of the tasks and resources.
Monday *
Aim: Using conjunctions and clauses.
You will start the week off by watching a clip from Harry Potter where the children are sorted into houses using the sorting hat. There is also an extract from the book for you to read too. The aim of today’s lesson is to revise clauses and conjunctions. Watch the video (link below) to help you and read the PowerPoint or revision cards. The PowerPoint has audio with it to help you be independent in your tasks.
