LO: To select precise and appropriate vocabulary
At the end of this English topic, you will write a narrative about two friends who veer off from a family holiday to explore a tomb/pyramid.

Task- Use your senses to describe the tomb, gathering rich adjectives.
Create expanded noun phrases as you write your vocabulary on the sheet.
Use the pictures and word bank to help generate ideas.

Lesson 2
LO: To use dialogue and actions to convey personality
In your narrative, there will be two main characters –one of them needs to be brave and the other needs to be scared going into the pyramid/tomb.
Create speech for both: a scared/nervous/worried character and a brave/daring/adventurous character.
What will your characters be feeling? Use the work from the previous lesson to help you write your speech.

LO: To use dialogue to convey action
What would the two boys say to each other at the entrance of the tomb?
On the sheet, write some dialogue between the 2 boys.
Use your speeches from yesterday and make them into a conversation between the 2 boys.
