Y3 Home learning 11/5
Date: 10th May 2020 @ 11:26am
Hello everybody, I hope you have had a lovely weekend in the sunshine. What have you been upto? I have been busy in my garden, I have painted the fences and my garden gate and it looks lovely now! Yesterday it was Bella's friends birthday so we went and dropped their presents at their front door and waved hello.
Who has had a birthday during lockdown? What exciting things did you do? These twins had a cake, lots of presents and their Mum and Dad had bought them a paddling pool so they spent all day splashing in there and playing with their toys. They had a lovely time.
This week we are back on normal school work. We hope you enjoy it. Don't forget there is always TT Rockstars, Bug Club and MyMaths if you want to do some online learning.
ENGLISH
Focus: Grammar (present perfect verbs)
Today you will continue with the Fantastic Mr Fox theme. You will need to read the summary of the story as we have skipped quite a few chapters! Has anyone started to read the book?
Please read the instructions carefully. The PowerPoint presentation will teach you/remind you about present perfect verbs.
MATHS
Good morning Y3, this week we are continuing with our time because there’s no time like the present!! This week we will be looking at duration – do you know what that word means?
LO: To find duration
Duration is how long something lasts for. The attached sheet has some questions for you to work through.
ART COMPETITION
There is a brilliant competition that you might like to take part in. It is designing a National Book Token and you can win £10 for yourself and everychild in your class! All the instructions are on this link. I really would recommend having a go, they're chosing one winner per week, how great would it be if somebody from Year 3 won!!
