Children's Mental Health Week 1-7th Feb
Date: 27th Jan 2021 @ 4:25pm
Children’s Mental Health Week is taking place on 1-7 February 2021.
This year's theme is Express Yourself.
Expressing yourself is about finding ways to share feelings, thoughts, or ideas, through creativity. It is about finding a way to show who you are, and how you see the world, that can help you feel good about yourself.
As parents and carers, you play an important role in your child’s mental health. Please some free resources attached that you can use with your child to support their mental health. The attached CMHW document gives you some ways as parents/carers that you can support your child/children’s mental health, especially during this lockdown. I have also attached some journaling and mindfulness materials that children might want to use over the following week and beyond.
Let your child know that if they are worried about something they should always talk to an adult they trust. It could be you, someone in your family, a teacher or someone else in their school.
If you are worried about your child’s mental health you should talk to your GP or someone at your child’s school.
