Year 3 Home Learning 16/10
Date: 16th Oct 2020 @ 3:18pm
Hi everybody, it's home learning time.
This week we would like you to focus on recapping homophones from Y2. Homophones are words that sound the same, but have different spellings and meanings. I have made a powerpoint for you to look at home to help you. There are hundreds of homophones so we are starting with the ones we use most regularly.
This week's spellings - you need to know how to use these words AND when to use them

GEOGRAPHY CHALLENGE
We have started learning about the United Kingdom. We will find out that the UK can be split into countries, counties and cities. We live in the county South Yorkshire, which is part of Yorkshire.
Please find out about our county and make an A4 poster that answers these questions:
Which big cities are part of Yorkshire?
What famous buildings or landmarks are there?
What or who is Yorkshire famous for?
Does Yorkshire have a symbol?
Where have you been in Yorkshire and what do you enjoy doing the most?
Have fun! There won't be any home learning next week as it is half term.
