Lesson 3

LO: To describe characters.

Write your own character description of Tom, using the ideas from Mowser’s text.  This is written from the cat’s point of view.

What physical features of Tom would you choose to describe?

What do these features show about Tom's character?

E.g.

His grey hair showed the number of storms that he had weathered through his life.

His twinkling eyes danced and sparkled as he looked upon his closest friend: Mowser.

Lesson 4 and 5

Make a cartoon strip showing a typical day with Tom and Mowser.  What would Tom say to Mowser during the day?

Write the speech in speech bubbles on your cartoon strip – see PDF example and template for drawing and writing on.
