Y5RW - World Book Day

We had a great day in Y5RW on World Book Day. We dressed up as our favourite book characters and did some great book-based activities. For our PE session we played book themed games which worked on our co-ordination and reaction time. We played 'Giants, Wizards and Elves' and also a form of Sumo (which we renamed 'Ninjas' since Miss Wilson was dressed as one, albeit a Teenage Mutant Turtle one!). It was very competitive and we had a lot of fun testing our reactions!

We also got creative in our second lesson and designed an alternative book cover for one of our favourite books. We had a great range from the His Dark Materials trilogy to a book of poetry! Come and see them on our reading wall - they look fab!

We also started creating our own 'Big Book Quiz' using iMovie which we hope to bring to you soon. Take a look at our costumes!
