This week you are going to plan and start writing a rescue story with a dilemma.
Lesson 1
LO: To describe the theme, setting and characters in a story
Plan what the theme, setting and characters will be like in your rescue story.
Success criteria:
Theme
- Friendship, bravery, good vs evil?
- How will show this?
3 Characters
- Who are they?
- What is their personality like?
- What do they look like?
- How will the reader feel about them?
Setting
- Where is it?
- What does it look like?
- What can you feel, hear, smell, taste there?
Write down your ideas on a piece of paper and keep it safe.

Lesson 2
LO: To write a plan for a rescue story with a dilemma
Read the Ginger Bread man story and decide which parts you think are the: opening, build up, dilemma, events and resolution.
On the plan, write your ideas down for what you want to happen in the opening, build up, dilemma, events and resolution.
Write your plan on the planning sheet and put it with your work from yesterday.

Lesson 3
LO: To write the opening to a rescue story with a dilemma.
Read through the conjunctions powerpoint to remind yourself of conjunctions you can use in your opening.
Write 1 paragraph for the opening to your story.
When you have finished, read through the success criteria and tick off the features you have included.
Thursday 13.05.21
Lesson 4
LO: To write the build-up to a rescue story with a dilemma.
Read through the expanded noun phrases powerpoint to remind yourself what they are and think about how you can use in your build-up.
Write 1 paragraph for the build-up to your story.
When you have finished, read through the success criteria and tick off the features you have included.
