- On activity sheet one, annotate (label) the picture of Mr Tumnus from what you have read. What was he carrying? What was he wearing? How did his body and face differ from his legs and feet?
- Read the simile sentence starters on the second page and see if you can complete them for Mr Tumnus.
- Use the WAGOLL sentences on the third page to help you.

LO: To use direct speech
Today you are going to practise how to use direct speech correctly with all the punctuation!
- Go through the PowerPoint on direct speech and make sure you remember the rules.
- Read the examples on Activity Sheet page 1, which again show you how to punctuate speech correctly.
- Have a go at the second page of Activity 1, where Lucy asks Mr. Tumnus a question and you need to write how he might reply. Make sure you use the WAGOLL on the first page to ensure you have followed all the rules.
- Extra challenge: Can you introduce a third character into the conversation? You will need to write this on a separate piece of paper.
