L.O: To find change

When you go to a shop, you don't always have exactly the right amount of money. When you have to hand over too much money, the shop keeper will give you change. It is the difference between the cost of the item and the money you have. It is a subtraction skill.

L.O: To locate UK Mountain ranges

Today you will be using an atlas to locate some of the UK`s major mountain ranges.

A mountain range is a group of mountains.

Before you do that, can you remember any of the features of a mountain from Monday`s lesson? Even better if can you define those features!

Start today`s lesson by watching the following video about some of the world`s most impressive mountain ranges.

Watch this video to see how mountains are measured –

Task – Use the map of the UK to identify which mountain ranges are circled on your sheet.

Challenge - Once you have identified the mountain ranges, can you name some of the mountains within that range?
