Lesson 1 -
LO: To compare different types of rocks.
Read through the Rocks power point, spotting the different types of rocks and finding out about natural and human-made rocks.

*Sort the pictures on the pdf (Science - Rocks Pictures) into the correct groups – you could cut them out and stick them on or draw them (Science - Natural or Man-Made Rocks).

***Challenge – Can you sort the different types of rocks?
Lesson 2 –
L.O – To explain how fossils are formed.
Read through the PowerPoint, this will tell you all about different types of fossils and the fossilisation process.
Activity 1 – Sort the ‘dinosaurs and fossils’ cards. Match up which dinosaur you think goes with which fossil.
Activity 2 – Order the pictures in and match the correct sentence with each picture describing the fossilisation process.
***challenge – Go for the 3 star sheet and order the pictures but write your own sentence explaining which part of the process it is.
