MONKEY WARRIORS AT CONDOVE

MONDAY

We may as well be called the eager beavers with the way we boarded the coach and travelled excitedly to Condover. After a long journey and finally eating our lunch, we took the tour of the grounds and found our dorms and activity groups.

One of the hardest decisions of the day ended up being what to call our group. Being that our leaders are Miss Wilson and Matty we went through a range of possible names, starting with Wilson's Warriors, moving through a range  including: Matty's Monkeys, Wilson's Warts (?!), Wilson's Monkeys, Matty's Warriors before (eventually!) settling on Monkey Warriors!🐒 We even created our own signature move inspired by King Kong! 

After a quick change it was Morphin' time to combine with Miss Field's group - Juhon the flying pig! It was time to get Wet and Wacky! Much splashing, many games and lots of teamwork was needed! Most of all we had amazing fun playing and being penguins! We even had a little inter-group competition - Warrior turned out to be the right phrase for Georgie, I have never seen such tenacity trying tackle and steal the ball away from Maggie, just like when she's on the netball court! Brilliant competition, including volleyball, we loved it, especially when we were winning😄. What a great start to our Y5 residential! 🏊🏼

Grabbed a bit of tea and settled in for film night watching Paddington 2. Lots of excitement and I imagine we're in for a long night!
