Year 4 Maths Week Beginning 29th June.

Hi Year 4, You have completed the Maths curriculum for Y4, so over the next week, you will be recapping on fractions. You have covered this area before but we felt you could do with a little more practise.

Adults - If you feel that your child does not need to do the recap, then please direct them straight to the Extra Challenge sheet each day.

There is a lesson before equivalent fractions which most children will not need to do, however, if you feel your child needs to recap on what a fraction is, I have included the link https://vimeo.com/418154269  and the worksheet ‘What is a fraction’ is on the blog with the other resources.

Monday

L.O: to find equivalent fractions.

1. You are going to watch 2 video lessons today but you only need to complete the worksheet for lesson 2. The worksheet for lesson 1 is also including, for any children who may need it.
2.  Equivalent fractions 1 -  https://vimeo.com/418154458. Watch this lesson video and try to work out the answers as you go along. (Equivalent Fraction (1) worksheet can be completed now, if necessary.)
3. Now click on the link to watch the next lesson video. Equivalent fractions 2 - https://vimeo.com/418154572. Pause the video, when prompted, to work out any answers.
4. When you have watched the video, complete the Equivalent Fraction (2) worksheet and ask an adult to check it.
5. If you would like to do a little more, have a go at the Extra Challenge sheet.
6. Now have a go at an equivalent fraction game on Twinkl Go. Search Twinkl go and enter this pin - BX2810.

Tuesday
