Y5F spend the afternoon in the woods

What a gorgeous afternoon we had messing about in the woods. Killian said, “It’s great because we didn’t have to do any work.”  Well that’s not strictly true. Everyone had lots of opportunities at speaking and listening, a little bit of reading, loads and loads of problem solving, maths and of course science.  Lucas Z told me, “It’s too much good.”  He loved running around, with his four legged friend. Of course the main aim of the afternoon was to investigate different ways to measure the height of trees and Charlie liked learning how to use a clinometer.
