LO: To know the main parts and functions of the circulatory system

As part of our Science learning, we looked at a real ox's heart to examine its structure, atria, ventricles and tubes (we were particularly in awe of the aorta and the vena cava!). Safe to say most of us in the year group were fascinated and some, were not and were a bit pale!

It was really useful to see the walls of the heart and the different parts to illustrate the key role it plays in our survival and circulatory system.

"My favourite bit was when Miss Wilson put her finger through the arteries!" - Cyrus

"I found the experience really cool!" - Ummayah

"It was bigger than my face!" - Zain

"I was surprised by how dark it was." - Georgina

"I found it disgusting." - Alice
