Y3RW make Biscuithenge!

Immersion - BISCUITHENGE!

Wow, what an exciting morning Y3RW had yesterday. We immersed ourselves in our new topic 'How Did We Survive the Stone Age?' with a fantastic Stone Age Day and then learned all about Stonehenge, what it was for and how it was built. What would be the best way to see what challenges Stone Agers faced when creating the stone circle? By building it with biscuits of course!

After a 360 degree virtual tour of the historic site, we managed to become logs to roll our Sarsen stone (aka Flo and Adam!) to the stone circle. Then, using all of our patience, resilience and teamwork (after all, as we say, teamwork makes the dream work!), we managed to use a range of biscuits to represent sarsen and altar stones. Take a look at our creations!

Vera - "I really enjoyed working together as a team and positioning the biscuits carefully. Oh and obviously eating them afterwards!"

Poppy - "We found it really hard. It was a challenge to keep going when people knocked it down. We had to start again three times!"

Every group perservered and finished their Biscuithenge and rewarded themselves with a biscuit or two!
