Dobcroft Does Mastermind

We had a special assembly today to celebrate Red Nose Day.  Ms Harrison organised our very own Mastermind - just like the quiz show on television.  The contestants were Dylan and Eleanor from Y6 and Mrs Johnson and Mr White from Y3. 

Each contestant had to answer questions about their specialist subjects. Mrs Johnson chose Take That, Dylan answered questions about David Walliams books. Eleanor’s specialist questions were Percy Jackson and the Olympians and Mr White answered questions on the books of Harry Potter.

All of the contestants were extremely knowledgable about their specialist subjects and at the end of the first round Eleanor and Mr White scored a staggering 22 points, Dylan scored an amazing 18 points and Mrs Johnson scored 15. 

The second round was all about general knowledge.  Mrs Johnson scored 14, Dylan 9 points, Eleanor scored 6 and Mr White earned 12 points.

Congratulations to Mr White for winning our first ‘Dobcroft Does Mastermind’.  Each contestant won an Easter Egg.

What an amazing way to celebrate this worthwhile charity. A big thank you goes to the contestants who had to answer some tough questions, the audience for supporting them, Ms Harrison for organising a thoroughly enjoyable morning. And of course to everyone who donated some money. We raised just under £700!
